- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My 8 year old missed 2 days of school and we took her in to see Dr. Hackenberg on a Friday. He gave her a lightning fast exam. She had been in obvious pain and not herself at all. He tested her for strep. It came back negative. He sent us on our way and said she would be better in a few days and if it was bad, to call back. She was sick all weekend so we called on Monday. The nurse talked to the doctor and they "would not treat her at this time". We took our daughter to a CVS minute clinic and they found 2 ear infections, swollen glands, and a horrible red, sore, and swollen throat. The minute clinic prescribed anti-biotics. I hope she is on a road to recovery. I felt like the worst parent in the world after this experience.December 20, 2016by Andrew Lovell
